Glimmering dresses, A-list celebrities, F1 drivers, sensational models, charity auctions, live performing singers and dancers, Amber Lounge fashion show… here we go again!
The annual star-studded event celebrated last Friday its 10th fashion show in the Principality of Monaco, surrounding Le Méridien Beach Plaza’s bluish pool, with views on a Mediterranean Sea full of yachts.
The glamourous show has been attended this year by the American superstar Akon, as well as Jazmin Grimaldi the elder daughter of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, Lady Victoria Hervey, Victoria Silvstedt, Liam Cunningham, Paddy Lowe and Gene Haas, and of course F1 drivers such as world champion Jenson Button.
The program of the event included a live performance of Kygo’s “Stole the show” singer Parson James, followed later by Jasmine Thompson who live performed the Echo Music Prize nominated song “Ain’t nobody (loves me better)”.
A talented group of dancers called “Allure” did a mind blowing show all around the pool while Justin bieber’s song “Sorry” was being played.
F1 drivers abandoned their combination for chic costumes by the British brand Apsley Tailors.
The radiant driver Carmen Jordá made her appearance on the catwalk, wearing a long and beautiful white lace dress. The other models continued the spectacular show wearing sexy bikinis and stunning summer couture pieces designed by the Londoner brand Osman.
Also walked on the runway, F1 driver Pedro de la Rosa’s wife and daughters, as well as the much beloved Sonia Irvine, founder of Amber Lounge.
The auction that took place just after the fashion show offered an outstanding 4-days vacation, in the Mediterranean or Bahamas or Caribbean, for 12 people on one of the world’s best yachts equipped with a helipad, waterfall Jacuzzi, swim-out bar, sundeck with indoor cinema, sauna, gym with a personal trainer, a 15-meter slide, jet ski talking stations and a world-class chef.
The other offers consisted of a wonderful set of luxurious jewels: a bracelet, a ring and earrings, all made of gold and diamonds.
Followed an incredible hayosol painting with original Swarovski crystals, representing Princess Grace of Monaco, and finally a 24 gold carat F1 car.
An amount of 140,000 euros has been collected through the three first auctions (respectively 70,000€; 50,000€; 20,000€) in benefit of Amber Lounge Foundation in order to support homeless, unemployed or abused young people struggling with mental health problems or drug & alcohol related issues.
The After-party party hosted once again Parson James and Jasmine Thompson who also sang Robin Schulz’s hit “Sun goes down”. The DJ did a great music mix and the open bar service kept guests dancing until the early hours.
Nico & Vinz who came aboard the Amber Lounge yacht, live performed on stage during Amber Lounge last celebration on Sunday.
This day was found to be the highlight of the Amber Lounge week-end with F1 drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Sergio Perez who arrived in second and third position after race-winner Lewis Hamilton and came to celebrate their last night in Monaco along with other F1 drivers such as Carlos Sainz, Nico Rosberg and his wife, Pierre Gasly, Felipe Nasr, Marcus Ericsson and his team and F1 legend Eddie Irvine. Jet-setters were partying with massive Champagne bottles until the closure after 5am.
