Amber Lounge Fashion Show 2017

The annual Fashion Show run by Sonia Irvine, one of the most-mediated events of this F1 Grand Prix weekend, took place on Friday 26th of May over the pool of Le Méridien Beach Plaza Hotel, under the sunset of the Principality of Monaco.

The event hosted this year by Federica Masolin and Natalie Pinkham, Sky Sports F1 TV presenters in Italy and the United Kingdom, was held under the presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco and welcomed numerous celebrities and international elite guests.

Among them we could see Formula One racing legend Sir Jackie Stewart on the behalf of his recently founded association “Race against dementia”, “Game of Thrones” actor Liam Cunningham, F1 driver Eddie Irvine, Former Miss France Laury Thilleman and Miss Vietnam World Australia Jolie Nguyen, American actresses Lindsay Lohan, Kate Upton and the sulphurous Baywatch’s star Pamela Anderson, only to name a few.

Pamela Anderson, Jolie Nguyen and Laury Thilleman:

For the third time at Amber Lounge, F1 drivers-turned-models rocked the runway in Apsley Tailors, but also Michael Kors formal wear, in aid of this year’s charity partner, “Race Against Dementia”.

The ones to have trade their race suits for custom tailoring this year were Stoffel Vandoorne, Daniil Kvyat, Esteban Ocon, Pascal Wehrlein, Marcus Ericsson, Charles Leclerc and Marc Gene.

Followed on the catwalk the ‘ladies of Formula One’ (TV presenters in F1 and drivers’ partners) wearing SAFiYAA luxurious silk beachwear collection created by the renowned Silviya Neri exclusively for Amber Lounge.

The excitement did nothing but rising as the highly anticipated live performance time arrived.

While F1 drivers walked on water at the spectacular swimming pool setting, American singer Chris Willis – who’s the voice of many David Guetta’s hits such as “Love is gone; Money; Everytime we touch; Tomorrow can wait; Love don’t let me go and Gettin’ over you” – gave a sensational performance of his latest hit created with Guetta: “Would I lie to you”, alongside well-coordinated dancers.

After the energy-giving music act, the glamorous ladies of F1 continued to set the catwalk ablaze, wearing high heels and silk-made selected pieces from Silviya Neri’s latest collection.

To finish in style, Amber Lounge Founder and Monaco-based entrepreneur Sonia Irvine walked down the runway gracefully, hand in hand with her charming six-year-old daughter, Katie.

It was then time for the live auction to begin… It is thanks to very generous bidders that more than 450,000 € have been raised for Amber Lounge Charity “Race Against Dementia” which helps leading important researches to fight this disease.

At the end of this perfectly held event, some guests like Pamela Anderson and Liam Cunningham went to have a prestigious and delightful gourmet dinner specially organised for the occasion, while others prepared themselves for an extravagant star-studded Fashion After Party with flowing exquisite champagne all night long and international DJs to set the dance floor on fire until sunrise.
